Oral presentation at OSA Advanced Solid State Lasers Conference “Tunable Mid-IR Hybrid Fiber/Crystal Laser for Gas Sensing” in Austria Center Vienna from September 29 to October 3, 2019.
Abstract
A rapidly tunable picosecond PM ytterbium fiber laser pumps an OPO for wavelength conversion to the mid-IR. This compact and transportable source permits fast sensing of methane, and hydrochloric acid with two different detection schemes.

Oral presentation at IPC the annual conference of the IEEE Photonics Society “MICRO-TRANSFER-PRINTED III-V-ON-SILICON C-BAND SOAS WITH 17 DB GAIN” by PhD student Bahawal Haq in the Hilton Palacio Del Rio San Antonio from 29 September to 3 October 2019.
Abstract
In this paper, we demonstrate the integration of a pre-fabricated semiconductor optical amplifiers on a silicon photonic integrated circuit through micro-transfer-printing. 17 dB small signal gain is obtained from the 1.35 mm long device.

Poster presentation at CLEO^®/Europe-EQEC 2019 “Mid-IR hybrid ber/crystal laser delivering near Fourier transform lim-ited picosecond optical pulses with fast wavelength tuning” in Munich from 23 to 27 june 2019.
Abstract
We have developed a mid-infrared laser source based on a narrow bandwidth picosecond fiber laser with fast spectral tuning capabilities pumping a simply resonant OPO emitting around 3.3 ?m with high spectral purity (0.4cm-1).

Poster presentation at CLEO^®/Europe-EQEC 2019 “Picosecond Widely-Tunable mid-IR Source for Gas Detection” by PhD student Florent DEFOSSEZ in Munich from 23 to 27 june 2019.

Abstract
We report the demonstration of gas detection by laser spectroscopy using a compact mid-infrared OPO seeded by a picosecond laser source. Preliminary results on acetone at 2970 cm-1 for concentrations down to 1% are presented.

Abstract
In the framework of the INTERREG V research program SAFESIDE, we report the test and development of a mid-infrared laser source for fume and gases detection by infrared laser spectroscopy.
